COLDPLAY coming to the LCR
Coldplay, one of the BIGGEST bands on the Planet are coming to the Union's LCR UEA Norwich for an intimate concert in conjunction with Radio 1. Not only will they be playing LIVE, but the concert will be being broadcast simultaneously on National Radio from 7pm that evening.
PLEASE NOTE THAT THESE TICKETS ARE NOT BEING SOLD ONLINE. Please read the following on how to obtain tickets.
Tickets will go on sale at 9am on Saturday October... 15th from the Box Office, Union House, University of East Anglia, Norwich NR4 7NJ. We anticipate that some people will start queuing very early to be sure of getting tickets - we are therefore opening the Union building from 23.00hrs on Friday 14th Oct so that the fans that queue early have somewhere warm to wait, as well as having café and toilet facilities.
Tickets are available to all members of the general public as well as students. Tickets can only be purchased in person and please be aware we expect very high demand for these tickets.
Tickets are limited to two per customer. They are priced at £20 each with a maximum additional booking fee of £2. To try to avoid these tickets being resold at vastly inflated prices, entry for this show will be via wristband only. On October 15th a ticket voucher will be issued clearly showing your name and address. On the show day October 27th, wrist banding will open from midday at the venue. Ticket holders need to return with their ticket voucher, and their matching ID and the debit or credit card with which they made their purchase, this should bear the same name as on the ticket voucher - and if they have purchased two tickets their guest must also be in attendance with them. There are no exceptions to this – if you buy two tickets both customers have to be wristbanded at the same time, you cannot collect a “spare” wristband for your guest. Each customer will be wristbanded and can then return to the venue in the evening for the concert. Doors open at 6.30 pm and the show starts promptly at 7.00 p.m. for the broadcast so please arrive early. Please note that any wristbands that have been obviously tampered with will be refused entry. This is a very rare opportunity to see a hugely popular band, who are more used to headlining festivals, but to see them up close and personal in a good small live music venue.
