Your Union in 2011

This year your Union is holding loads of events which you can easily get involved with, here are just a few events coming up in 2011...

Elections –

Your Union, Your chance to run it! Every Year your Student Officers are elected before Easter. There are 4 full time officers & 13 part time officers, for more information on all the positions check out http://www.ueastudent.com/voice/elections

You can vote in the Elections between 24^th and 29^th March. Nominations open on 21^st February you can collect a nomination form from Union House Reception or download it from http://www.ueastudent.com/voice/elections 

Awards Night

The Union Awards is scheduled for Tuesday 29^th March! The awards is the chance you can get recognised for all the hard work you put in to making your experience of university and the experience of other students across UEA the best it could be.

You can nominate your friends, society & sports club members, presidents or volunteers to receive an award. Nominations are open from January 17th until 15^th March

The awards is an evening of formal dress where we will be announcing the winners of the Union elections & awards all the students at UEA who have completed the Union Volunteer scheme.

If you are interested in completing the Volunteer scheme it is not too late! Simply go http://www.ueastudent.com/volunteer and follow the instructions.

Derby Day

Derby Day 2011 is coming! The 23^rd of March 2011 will see UEA compete with Essex University in up to 50 sports. Whether you are a competitor or a spectator, make sure you get involved in the Derby Day fun, which is as much a celebration of sport and our University experience as about competition.

International Party

As part of the Union’s Go Global Week, International Party brings together a huge range of the Union’s clubs and societies in one action-packed event. There will be food provided by societies from Indian to Greek, and performances from dance sport to Thai Society. It’s one of the most interesting nights on campus, and an event that you definitely shouldn’t miss!
