Urgent message- Library and IT issues
As I’m sure you’re aware, the University library and IT services are currently experiencing difficulties, including:
- Intermittent access to the Portal, Evision, and library catalogue
- Poor connection on campus
- Non-functioning library issuing and returns machines
- Poor phone service on campus.
The library’s engineers are working to resolve these issues, and we’re in discussion with the library staff about these services.
We’re aware that students in some schools have been told that they’ll be given an extension on work that was due to be submitted today. At this stage we’d recommend contacting your school office directly, in person (due to the patchy email and phone service) about this.
Also, please be advised that the entire library building- including the 24-hour IT suite- will be closed from midnight until 8am, today, Wednesday 15th December.
