Student Trustee Application Close on Friday
The Union of UEA Students is currently in the process of recruiting four Student
Trustees for the next academic year. These roles are new for 2010/11, and
provide the opportunity for students who are not involved in the campaigning
side of the Union to gain experience in the corporate, legal and financial aspects
of managing our £10m turnover charity.
The roles are part-time and designed to fit around students' lives and study.
Trustees are personally liable for the Union’s finances and ensuring that we
comply with the law. We do, however, provide our Trustees with indemnity
insurance, training, support and accreditation for the skills they have learnt in
the role. It is a great opportunity to help students at UEA by making their Union
strong and improving the services available to them.
Any student who is appointed as a Trustee would be given training, support and accreditation, and will find the experience incredibly useful when applying for jobs upon graduation.
Application packs are available from Union House Reception in the Hive, or by emailing Martin Jopp, Finance Officer, at [email protected].
Applications must be returned either by email or to Union House Reception by 9am on Friday 23 April.
